Mrs. Obama supports the organization and met several of its members on the tarmac at Lambert St. Louis International Airport on Monday afternoon.

'It`s really nice to have somebody care that much about us,' said Natalie Williams.  She was among a group of about 20 veterans who had a chance to meet the First Lady.

Omar and Tiffany Garcia both served their country in the Marines.

'She was thankful for what we`ve done and it was very much touching to me,' said Omar Garcia.

'It`s really great to see her support and have her really welcome our guys home,' said Tiffany Garcia.

Natalie Williams was on the greeting line and said The Mission Continues helped turn her life around.  She was upset over a war injury but found focus by helping others back at home.

'I couldn`t be happier than where I am right now.'

Mrs. Obama also raised money from the Peabody Opera House in downtown St. Louis.  Tickets ranged from $150 to $10,000.

The Republican National Committee released a statement criticizing the President for the First Lady`s campaign appearance saying Mr. Obama should focus more on jobs and the economy.
