Salukis To Hire Hinson

FOX-2 Sports was told early Tuesday afternoon that SIU-Carbondale was planning a press conference to announce the hiring of Barry Hinson as the Salukis new men’s basketball coach.  Hinson will replace the fired Chris Lowery.  FOX-2 Sports was told that there were some conversations between SIU-Carbondale and their former coach Bruce Weber, but the two sides never agreed on what compenstion should be.  Hinson is no stranger to the Missouri Valley after spending 9 years as head coach at Missouri State.  After he was fired by MSU, Hinson went to work with Bill Self at Kansas.
