Fatal Car Crash Near French Village, MO

A man was killed Friday evening in a St. Francois County car crash.  Charles R. Webster, 40, of Chesterfield, MO, was traveling west on Route Y near French Village, MO when he failed to negotiate a curve and over corrected. He drove off the left side of the road, collided with an embankment, and overturned.  Webster was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the car.

The St. Francois County coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
