VINITA TERRACE, MO (KTVI) -

St. Louis County police were looking for the husband of a Missouri Probation and Parole officer Saturday night.   She was shot and killed Saturday afternoon outside a Vinita Terrace beauty salon at Hanley and Page.

Her husband, 43 year old Marion "Lamont" Arrington was described by police as an African American five feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.  He was  last seen driving a tan or brown 1999 Buick Century with Illinois license plates number 298 9945.

"I'm not saying with certainty he is the one responsible for this,  but we believe he is the last person with her before  this," said County Police spokesman Rick Eckhard.

The owner of the Headlines Hair Studio, Shari Gladney, said Arrington worked for her as a barber and his wife was her long time friend.  Gladney gave the victim CPR after she came inside the shop saying she had been shot and collapsed.

As of 10pm Saturday the victim's name had not been released by police.

Witnesses told detectives they had seen the couple arguing on the parking lot before hearing gunshots.

Officer Eckhard asked anyone who knows Arrington to contact  "him immediately and have him contact the St. Louis County police. We need to talk to him."

But he warned citizens not to confront him because he might be dangerous.
