ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Remembering young lives cut too short. Students of three catholic schools came together to honor three friends who died this school year.

The program displays the words remembrance and hope. That was the goal of singing choirs from Desmet and Rosati Kain along with the St. Mary's media department in their free concert, to celebrate and remember the lives of three members of each school's community lost this last winter.

The free concert was put together to remember Tom Horan of Desmet High School, Stephen Moeller from St. Mary's, and Robbie McGartland, a graduate of Chaminade, whose sister sings in the Rosati Kain voices.

Many members of the Desmet black robes singing group knew Tom Horan well from their time in the Desmet theater department together.

And media student from St. Mary's have put together a slide show tribute to all three young men that will be played at the end of the program.

The concert was free, but collections were taken to raise money for three different charities selected by the three families of the young men honored tonight.

The students sang with heavy hearts tonight, but were happy that they could use the gift of song to express themselves during such a difficult time.

The Sheldon Theater was a packed house tonight.
