WEBSTER GROVES, MO (KTVI) – Zaria’s story is one of many being told during National Mobility Awareness Month.  The organization “Life Moving Forward” is asking people to tell their story for a chance for a better life.  The winner will receive a wheelchair a  wheelchair and handicapped accessible vehicle.

Over 18 million people in the U.S. and Canada have mobility issues. Six million of those are veterans.

15-year-old Zaria has spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy.  She has suffered with this disease for her entire life. She has been nominated to in the contest for better mobility.   As she grows older she wants to become more independent.  She wants to go to high school in the fall but her manual wheelchair will not allow her to keep up with her classmates.

You can help Zaria and others in her situation.  Tell the story of someone suffering from mobility issues and they could have a better life.
