ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Gary Lobstein and James Bragado are making a five-part movie series for the web.

"We are armatures wanting to be semi- professionals and we are doing this all from home," says Lobstein.

The two are not waiting to see if Hollywood would produce their story.  So the two are doing the whole project by themselves.

The series will be done in a very unique style called "steampunk."

Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction that includes futuristic technologies as they might have been imagined during the Victorian period.  It mixes both future and the past together.

The project already has the sci-fi industry taking notice of what's happening here.

"It's definitely gone nationwide.  We have a trailer that is being shown at various sci-fi conventions across the country.  We have had responses from New Zealand, Australia and Germany," said Bragado.
