Man Found Dead in Alton Garage

ALTON, IL (KTVI) – Police in Alton, Illinois are investigating a murder . Around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, they received calls for shots fired at Brown and Pearl. When officers arrived, they found a man dead inside a garage behind a home there. He had been shot.

Several people were being interviewed by officers on the scene. At least one person was taken to police headquarters for further questioning.  But that person was later released.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
