Obama to Give Joplin High School Commencement Address

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTVI) – President Obama will deliver the commencement address at Joplin High School’s graduation on Monday, May 21st.  The event will be held at Missouri Southern State University Leggett & Platt Athletic Center at 7 p.m.

The graduation comes just one day before the one year anniversary of the devastating tornado that ripped through the city. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon will also attend the ceremony.

FOX 2 news crews will be in Joplin for the President’s visit and for the tornado anniversary on Tuesday.
