Does Swearing Hurt Your Children?

(KTVI) – Behavioral Pediatrician Dr. Tim Jordan joined us Wednesday to discuss the topic of whether swearing harms our children.

Dr. Jordan says it is another way parents can over-worry. Hearing swearing doesn’t hurt, but being yelled at or criticized does.  There is a difference.

For younger kids, it’s a way to be cool and seem older. Parents probably should worry more about violence and sex in movies than cursing.
