National Wing-Eating Tour Comes To St. Louis Saturday

(KTVI)-Local competitors will challenge professional eaters at an official qualifier of the Hooters World Wing-Eating Championship at Keiner Plaza Saturday. The event takes place at 4:30pm, before Saturday’s Cardinals game. 

The winner of the St. Louis qualifier will go on to compete in New York City at the Wing-Eating World Championship on July 27th, part of a celebration of National Chicken Wing Day.

The Hooters Wing-Eating World Championship tour kicked off in Augusta, Ga., on April 5 with Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas eating 140 wings in 10 minutes to win the event.
