2 Workers Burned In Grainery Fire Win Multi-Million Judgment
CHESTER, ILLINOIS (KTVI) – Two workers burned in a grain elevator explosion in Chester, Illinois are slated to speak Monday about their multi-million dollar court victory. The two workers won the judgment Friday when a federal jury awarded John Jentz and Robert Schmidt $180 million in damages.
In April 2010, the men were removing equipment from a grain bin at the Con-Agra owned site when it exploded. One of the men was burned over three-quarters of his body.
Con-Agra calls the accident tragic and says it will appeal.
