PHOENIX, AZ. (CNN) - An Arizona woman is facing charges for allegedly driving off with her baby on top of her car.  Suspect Catalina Clauser made a first court appearance today in Phoenix.  Police say Clauser admits she forgot her son was on top of her vehicle when she left a friend's house late Friday night.   The infant was found in the middle of an intersection, still strapped in his car seat.

Luckily, he was not injured when his seat fell off the car's roof.

Clauser was arrested when she returned to the scene, searching for the baby.  Police say Clauser had smoked marijuana several times that night.

She's charged with D-U-I and child abuse.  The baby is now in the custody of Arizona Protective Services.
