Gyro House Owner’s Murder Unsolved Two Years After The Fact
MAPLEWOOD, MO (KTVI) – Two years after the murder of a restaurant owner outside a Maplewood apartment complex, police are still looking for a killer, and there’s a $10,000 reward waiting for anyone who can help.
Ahmed Eltawmi, owner of the Gyro House Restaurant in University City, was murdered in a fight at the Richmond Terrace apartment complex in Maplewood on June 4, 2010.
No one knows what it was about, or who killed him. The suspect, a slender black male in his teens or twenties, was last seen running north on Laclede Station Road.
Eltawmi was a well known businessman in University City, running the Gyro House, which is a Greek restaurant. The Delmar Loop business is still in operation today.
If you have any information, contact Cimestoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477). Again, there is a $10,000 reward in this case.
