ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-The St. Louis Cardinals topped the Kansas City Royal Saturday. The team took a big early lead, but  K. C. crawled its way back. St. Louis regained the lead in the 7th and went on to win 10-7. Matt Holliday homered and drove in five runs and Yadier Molina homered and drove in four.

St. Louis won for the third time in four games. Kansas City’s season high-tying four-game winning streak ended.

Cardinals’ manager Mike Matheny was ejected in the first inning of Saturday’s game.  Pitcher Joe Kelly caught a line drive from Eric Hosmer, threw to first, and then took a return throw and fired to second for what was initially ruled a triple play. The umpires, led by crew chief Dana DeMuth, met and reversed the ruling, indicating the ball first hit the ground. Matheny was ejected by home plate umpire Kerwin Danley after arguing the reversal.
