Washington University Donates Turf To Local Communities

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Dozens of volunteers showed up Saturday at Washington University to help load more than 400 bales of used turf from Francis Field that are going to be put to good use. At least 26 organizations and cities will receive more than 1 million pounds of artificial turf from the University. All of it will be used to fix up area parks and playgrounds.

The St.  Louis Teamsters Joint Council 13 and St. Louis Green are also part of the effort.
