St. Louis Board Of Aldermen Approve Bill To Cut Board Size

DOWNTOWN, ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – The St. Louis Board of Aldermen Friday gave final approval to a bill, to let voters decide whether to cut the size of the board in half.  The measure was introduced by alderwoman Phyllis Young and was approved on a 21 to 7 vote.

It would cut the number of aldermen from 28 down to 14.

The measure will now go on the November ballot, were it needs 60 percent approval.
