St. Louis County Reports Second Heat-Related Death
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- A University City woman has been confirmed as the second heat-related death in Saint Louis County this summer. The medical examiner’s office reported that the 93-year-old victim was discovered on Saturday, July 7. Her body temperature was 103 degrees and the outdoor temperature was 104 degrees.
The window air conditioner in the brick home was working properly but was set at 95 degrees. The victim lived alone but was cared for by relatives.
