ITS THE BATTLE OF “BAD” SUMMER AND “GOOD” SUMMER OVER THE NATION…THE GOOD SUMMER IS BACK OVER US WITH A NORTHWEST FLOW IN THE UPPER ATMSOPHERE…THE BAD SUMMER HAS SHIFTED TO THE WEST AND THE HARD CORE HEAT 110+ HAS SETTLED BACK OVER THE SOUTHWEST…WE GET A NICE BREAK–IT IS STILL SUMMER BUT SUMMER WE CAN HANDLE…LOW 90′S EACH AFTERNOON–HOTTEST 3PM TO 6PM, PLEASANT MORNINGS AND GREAT WEATHER IN THE EVENING…THE QUESTION IS IT JUST A BREAK OR IS IT THE PATTERN THAT WILL CONTROL THE REST OF THE SUMMER…A FEW THINGS GOING ON IN THE ATMSOPHERE…A SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE IS TRYING TO PULL TOGETHER OVER THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY…BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT LAKES WILL BLOCK ALOT OF THIS MOISTURE OUT FOR US…AT THE SAME A FRONT WILL BE POKING IN FOR THE WEEKEND…THATS THE REASON FOR THE SCATTERED STORMS…THEN THE QUESTION OF THE BIG, HOT DOME OF HIGH PRESSURE TO THE WEST…SIGNS THAT THAT WILL TRY TO SQUEEZE BACK LATE WEEKEND AND INTO NEXT WEEK…HAVE TO DO WITH HOTTER TEMPS SUNDAY AND MONDAY…OTHER QUESTIONS…IS THIS BACK TO THAT DRY HEAT OR DOES HUMIDITY COME INTO PLAY…TOO EARLY FOR THAT CALL.
