Playing the in-between weather game again over the weekend…a large and wet low pressure to our southeast…close but not close enough and a slow moving cool front to our northwest…its the front that will be the main player…keep you fingers crossed for scattered rain and storms Saturday and Saturday night…some storms with heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds as they pulse down…Sunday looking quite right now…as the front sinks far enough south and east to get out of the picture…but little effect, if any, on temperature.
Next week…we deal with two high pressure systems in the upper atmosphere trying to take control…the big heat high in the west and Bermuda high from the east…the Bermuda high has not been a player for us this summer…but I like it this time around…what that means..as it takes control…our temps will go up…but so will the humidity and that will lead to some scattered storms at times…this looks different form the big, dry heat of last week…more like typical St. Louis in the summer. Plus…eyes on a cool front the middle of next week…it will be a battle but should get pretty close. Also look for the tropics to start to get active…make some home brew in the gulf and Florida and the African storm train is coming alive…that could get a new named storm going.
