TORONTO, ONTARIO (CNN) - A house party in Toronto turned deadly late Monday night.
Police tell CNN affiliate CTV that two were killed and 19 people hurt, including an infant.
The wounded were either shot, fell or were trampled while people tried to get out.
There were about 100 party-goers.
At least one of the victims tried to get help at a laundromat a few blocks away.
Right now, no word on what caused the shooting.
It was an altercation that took place within the event itself, and there were many people fleeing the scene, but my preliminary information is that it was a shooting that took place in and among the crowd at the event.
Police recovered a handgun near the scene.
