Caseyville Teen Arrested For Bomb Scare At SWIC

CASEYVILLE, IL. (KTVI) – A Caseyville, Illinois teen has been arrested and charged in yesterday’s bomb scare at Southwestern Illinois College.  19 year old James Sherrell is now facing disorderly conduct charges.

He’s accused of writing a note on a bathroom wall at the school, making reference to a bomb.

The St. Clair county sheriff’s department says Sherrell wrote the threatening note and then pretended to discover it then notifying authorities.

No bomb was ever found.
