ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Friends and family of a father murdered on July 19 are desperately asking for help to find the man`s killer.
William Easley said he has been friends with Larry Sain for over 30 years. The childhood friends have seen each other graduate from school, get married, and start families. Sain even married Easley`s cousin. But Friday, Kuly 20, 2012, Easley turned on FOX 2 News in the Morning and found that one of his best friends was shot to death. St. Louis Metropolitan Police said they found Sain`s body around 11:30 Thursday night in middle of the street at Goodfellow and Lalite in North St. Louis City.
“Only thing he wanted to do was take care of his family, provide for them, go to work every day, keep his nose out of trouble,” Easley said, shaking his head.
Easley said mutual friends who last saw Sain alive remembered that the victim was going to the Miami Grill to pick up a carryout order. Easley said his cousin called her husband repeatedly. Police eventually answered Sain’s cell phone and asked her to come to the scene.
Police had no witnesses or suspects. Easley had no idea who would want to hurt his friend. But, he said someone knows what happened. Easley urged them to come forward. He asked what that person would hope for if it were their son, husband or father lying in the street.
