As of Monday night, the Cardinals had not made any deals. The Major League Baseball trade deadline is Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PM St. Louis time.

On the field, injured pitcher Jaime Garcia pitched for the Cardinals Class A Jupiter team on Monday. Garcia pitched two and a third innings, allowing no runs, fours hits and struck out one batter. Garcia hasn’t pitched for the Cardinals since June 5th when he left that game with a shoulder ailment. Garcia has rested his ailing left shoulder until today. If Garcia’s rehab continues to be positive, he could return to the Cardinals in Mid-August.
