SHREWSBURY, MO (KTVI) - Shrewsbury Police are looking for a man who was dressed as a police officer and kissed a female motorist.  It happened Monday night around 9 on Shrewsbury Avenue only a block away from the police station..  The female victim told detectives an older model Impala with red and blue flashing lights followed her.  She pulled over.  A man in his 20’s and wearing a police type uniform with a gun on his hip was driving the Impala.

The woman had a bad headlight and received a ticket earlier from a real police officer and she thought she was being pulled over again for the same reason.

As the suspect talked to her he kissed her on the cheek and then tried to kiss her on the lips.
He told her he would not issue a ticket because she already had to pay for the one she got earlier.

The suspect is described as white with a blonde flat top cut, spiked in the front. He’s in his mid 20’s about 5 feet 7 inches tall weighing around 180 to 190 lbs.

Shrewsbury Police say the suspect is not one of their officers however they aren’t sure if he works for other departments or is a security guard.  They are checking with other agencies.  Police say if you are suspicious about an officer you can ask to see the officer’s badge or identification.
