KSC, FL. (CNN) - This is not the ending NASA had hoped for.  The unmanned moon lander "Morpheus" crashed and burned during an engine test Thursday afternoon at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The project manager says the lander is destroyed.

Now, NASA officials are gathering information to determine what went wrong.

NASA hopes that "Morpheus" will one day deliver cargo to the moon.

Another one is currently under construction and may be complete in two to three months.
No one was injured in the crash.
