ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– A Creve Coeur man threatened to “murder lots of people.” FBI and local police are looking into possible charges against a man threatening to blow up a St. Louis building.

On Friday, FOX Files reporter Chris Hayes got an e-mail with an alarming subject line. As he read further, he saw specific plans to blow up a building. The man listed a lot of personal information in his email: his name, number, where he worked (Magellan Health Services in Maryland Heights).  He lives in Creve Coeur.

FOX 2 watched as police and FBI agents showed up and talked to him about the e-mail he sent that states, in part, “I will plan to blow up a small portion of the State Wainwright Building in downtown Saint Louis.  I don’t care about the loss of life.  The State of Missouri sure doesn’t, so the only way to be heard is to murder lots of people and that’s what I’m going to do.”

After a couple of hours of police investigation at the Magellan Health building, Maryland Heights police officers came out with the man.  He walked out peacefully. FOX 2 is not mentioning his name or showing his face since he’s not been charged.

His e-mail said he was trying to get attention for issues involving child support and his kids’ health insurance.  Police took him into custody to ask him more questions as police and prosecutors discuss possible charges.  Those charges will likely come out of the city of St. Louis, Saturday.
