Government Takes Control Of Finances For East St.Louis Police Departments

EAST ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Governor Pat Quinn thinks corruption and mismanagement in four Metro East police departments is out of control.

So he set up a commission Thursday afternoon to run all the financial affairs for police departments in East St. Louis.

They’ll be in charge of all spending from police cards to hiring new officers in all four departments.

The new police commission will include the St. Clair County state’s attorney and an Illinois State Police official.
