Central West End At Ease After Boken Murder Arrest

CENTRAL WEST END, ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) - Tonight two 18 year old cousins face charges after they admit to the murder of Megan Boken, a 23-year-old former SLU volleyball player.  The case captured the national spotlight and attention of the mayor’s office.

Jonathan Perkins is charged with second degree murder and Keith Esters is charged with first degree murder.  Prosecutors said they tried to steal a cell phone from Broken.

Businesses and residents in the Central West End are resting easier, but teddy bears, flowers and heartfelt messages mark the area where Megan Boken was killed.  This neighborhood is in mourning, finding comfort in knowing two suspects are off the streets.
