O’Toole Throws 5 TD Passes, Illini rolls 44-0

Illinois backup quarterback Reilly O’Toole started again for injured starting QB Nathan Scheelhaase and produced five touchdown passes in leading the Illini to a 44-0 thumping of Charleston Southern on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Champaign.

O’Toole completed 26 of 31 passes for 333 yards and those 5 TD throws. Ryan Lankford led the way for Illinois’ receiver with two TD catches. The win improves the Illini’s record to 2 and 1 in the season.
