ST. LOUIS (AP) – A former contract worker at a Missouri Department of Revenue office in St. Louis County has pleaded guilty to federal charges for providing driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants.

Yvette Roberson entered the guilty plea Tuesday in federal court, along with two other defendants, Ricardo Ortiz and Jorge Pesqueda Perez.

Roberson worked at the state office from March 2010 through December 2011. Federal prosecutors say Ortiz and Perez provided documentation for illegal immigrants and instructed them to approach Roberson at the license office. She issued state of Missouri driver’s license and non-driver identification documents.

Ortiz also pleaded guilty to llegally re-entering the U.S. after being deported, and his wife, Melissa Ortiz, pleaded guilty to harboring an illegal alien.
