WILDWOOD, MO (KTVI) – From the moment the snow cleared the slopes this spring, Hidden Valley Ski Resort has been under construction. This season marks the 30th anniversary at the resort and general manager Bill Brandes says the West Mountain Expansion will be ready for opening day this December.
The $2 million project expands the skiable terrain by 30%. It includes three new runs, new state-of-the-art snowmaking guns and will be served by a brand new four-seat chair lift. At just under 2000 feet, it will be the resort's longest run.
The lodge is also being renovated. Once skiers are done on the slopes, they will have a whole new experience inside.
Brandes says Hidden Valley has become a destination for more than just local skiers. It now draws visitors from all across the southeastern United States. The more visitors, the more tax money in the local economy.
Season lift tickets are now available. You can call the ticket office or check out their website
