Much of this debate focused on the nation's economy, jobs and taxes. President Obama repeatedly criticized governor Romney for a five trillion dollar tax cut plan while Romney insisted he has no such proposal. The major centerpiece of the president's first term, the Affordable Care Act or "Obamacare" drew criticism from Governor Romney.
"It has killed jobs. The best course for health care is to do what we did in my state: Craft a plan at the state level that fits the needs of the state. And then let's focus on getting the costs down for people rather than raising it with the $2,500 additional premium." said GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney.
"If you don't have health insurance, we're essentially setting up a group plan that allows you to benefit from group rates that are typically 18 percent lower than if you're out there trying to get insurance on the individual market." said President Barack Obama.
A CNN/ORC international poll shows 67-percent of registered voters who watched the debate said Romney won. 25-percent said the president came out the winner.
