SIERRA BLANCA, TX (KTVI) – St. Louis rapper Nelly told TMZ he didn’t know anything about drugs being on his tour bus and that he’s “mad as hell.”

According to the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Department, the bus was on Interstate 10 on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. when it was stopped at a U.S. Border Patrol Checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas. That’s when a police dog picked up on the scent of drugs. Authorities reportedly found a box with ten pounds of marijuana and .64 ounces of heroin inside.
One of the passengers, Brian Keith Jones, claimed the drugs and gun belonged to him. Jones, known to be one of Nelly’s bodyguards, was arrested and taken to the Hudspeth County Jail.
Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes, and five other passengers were released.
