Do Cardinals Suffer From 3 Games To 1 Curse?

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– The Cardinals loss marks four times the team has lost a seven game championship series after leading three games to one. So is this the Cards version of a curse?

Baseball is filled with curses and superstitions. Which got us wondering is this one of them?

1968: The Cards lead the Tigers three games to one but end up losing the World Series to Detroit.

1985: The Cards lead the Royals three games to one, but end up losing the World Series to Kansas City.

1996: The Cards lead the Braves three games to one and end up losing the National League Championship series to Atlanta.

2012: The Cards lead the Giants three games to one and end up losing the National League Championship series to San Francisco.

Does all that add up to some sort of three games to one curse?

 So with the Cards having gone to the World Series three times in the past nine years this franchise seems to have only been cursed with success. 

And it`s only 120 days, more or less, until pitchers and catchers report to spring training.
