BRENTWOOD, MO (KTVI) – Getting around Brentwood will be a lot nicer for the city administrator. The Brentwood board of aldermen decided tax payer money should pay for a new car for its new city administrator to drive. That’s not sitting well with Chris Kobler and others in this group of Brentwood residents.
“I just don’t think it’s necessary for her to have a brand new car that cost $40,000 when there’s folks in Brentwood that can’t afford to do things that need to be done in their homes. I think they need to be more responsible with how they spending our money!” said Chris Kobler.
Brentwood Alderman Tom Kramer heads the ways and means committee that overseas city spending. He says nothing is wrong with getting the city manager a take home car to go along with her $106,000 salary.
“In this day in age you have to have all the possible renumeration that’s available!” said Tom Kramer.
