The San Francisco Giants have taken a commanding 3-0 lead in the 2012 World Series. The Giants tossed their second consecutive shut out, winning Game 3, 2-0 in Detroit on Saturday night.

Ryan Vogelsong, Tim Lincecum and Sergio Romo combined on the shutout. The Giants offense scored two runs in the second inning on a Gregor Blanco RBI double and a Brandon Crawford run scoring single.

The Giants can wrap up the 2012 World Championship with a win in Game 4. Giants ace pitcher Matt Cain will oppose the Tigers Max Scherzer, who is a St. Louis native.
