ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The St. Louis Blues will put down ice at Scottrade Center so it can be used as a temporary home for the Fairview Heights Youth Hockey Club. That group has been without its rink, the U.S. Ice Complex, since Oct. 9 when it was shut down due to mine subsidence damage.
The complex will be closed for an undetermined amount of time as structural engineers assess the situation. The 75,000 square-foot, dual-rink facility is home to activities ranging from youth and men’s hockey leagues to public skating sessions and church group outings.
Fairview Heights Youth Hockey will start using the Scottrade Center Wednesday, Nov. 14.
