SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KTVI)- What brings up to 4,000 military personnel to one place? On November 10th at Gateway Harley-Davidson, it will be the chance to win a free 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster (MSRP $7,999). Throughout the year, the dealership has sold $10 raffle tickets to the public for the chance to win a 2012 Harley-Davidson Street Glide (MSRP $19,499). Each time a raffle ticket is purchased for the Street Glide, Gateway enters a military member’s name into the Sportster drawing. All of the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the USO of Missouri, and both motorcycles will be raffled off on November 10th at 4pm.

The only catch…all military personnel must be present to win the Sportster. That means up to 4,000 military members, or a designated stand-in, will be at Gateway Harley-Davidson for the drawing and party.“Tying the military presence of our surrounding community into the family of Harley-Davidson has inspired us to include all local, active/reserve/guard military personnel in the Sportster giveaway,” said Rene Creed, owner of Gateway Harley-Davidson. “The USO of Missouri does amazing things for the people who protect our Country. It is so important that we support this organization and its mission.”

While Gateway has never before raffled a free motorcycle to a military member, this is the ninth “Year of the USO” campaign. Impressively the dealership has raised more than $100,000 for the USO of Missouri within that time. The USO of Missouri, Inc’s mission is to lift the spirits of America's troops and their families by providing a "touch of home" through our facilities, a shoulder when needed, and fun family events.
