(KTVI)- The World Bird Sanctuary is helping more and more birds of prey found sick or injured in the urban center of St. Louis. While the injuries aren't good, the fact that owls, falcons, and hawks are returning to the city area is a good sign for the ecosystem.

The Science Center will host the World Bird Sanctuary’s “Wings Over Water” program Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012  at 12:30 & 2 pm. Families will learn how the United States almost lost one of its most valuable national treasures and how all birds of prey and wildlife depend on the safety & sustainability of our water supply.

The World Bird Sanctuary will also release rehabilitated birds back into Forest Park.
