The Reading Of The Fallen On Veterans Day

(KTVI)-An organization called The Fight Continues has organized “The Reading of the Fallen”. On Veterans Day, November 11, 2012, all names of fallen veterans from all conflicts from the birth of the United States of America will be read by volunteers.  There are name reading sites across the nation with each spot reading a portion of the 1.2 million names of fallen service men and women since the Revolutionary War.

Names will be read at the flagpole outside the Rock Community Fire Protection District headquarters on Telegraph Road in Arnold, MO.  Rain or shine, the event runs from Noon until 4:00pm.

Names will also be read at these locations:

• Wentzville, MO at the Law Enforcement Center for Noon until 3:00pm.
• Union, MO at St Paul Lutheran Church in Union, MO at 1:00 PM
• Edwardsville, IL at City Park by the Ryan Garbs Star Memorial at Noon.
• Freeburg, IL at American Legion Post #58 at 6355 Hillgard Memorial Drive.
