(KTVI) – Dr. Pepper is headed to court for allegedly misleading consumers about the benefits of a variety of soft drinks.  The Center for Science in the Public Interest says the company’s advertising and packaging suggest that some drinks contain antioxidants from Blackberries, cherries, cranberries, pomegranates and raspberries, rather than added Vitamin E.

A spokesperson with Dr. Pepper says the label for 7-up Cherry meets the FDA regulations and the drink does not contain juice. The class-action lawsuit calls for a variety of financial damages from a California man and a halt to the alleged misleading advertising.
