Man Posing As Police Officer Tries To Lure Teen Into Car
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis police are investigating a possible abduction attempt after a 16-year-old high school student said a man tried to lure her into his car.
The teen told school officials a man driving a black convertible Mustang pulled up next to her as she walked to Carnahan High School on South Broadway Thursday morning. The man allegedly identified himself as a police officer and told her to get into the car. The teen refused and ran to the school to alert authorities.
The man is described as a white male in his 40s with blonde hair. Police were searching the area Thursday morning for any sign of the suspect. They saw a vehicle matching the description at Compton and Chippewa. They took the driver into custody. He is being questioned by St. Louis City police.
