422 Turkeys, 560 pounds of food, and $9,822.22 in monetary donations.
MANCHESTER, MO (KTVI) – Operation Food Search is a St. Louis area food bank that helps feed the poor and hungry. Every month 2 million pounds of food are distributed to area food pantries in 31 counties of Missouri and Illinois. According to the charity, they feed approximately 150,000 people every single month. About half of those getting aid are children.
They need your help this holiday season. According to the charity one in three children in the area need help to keep from going hungry. Requests for Operation Food Search’s services have increased dramatically this year. Your donations can help a keep a child well fed this holiday season.
FOX 2 has partners with Operation Food Search annually to help with the cause. Donating to the charity is easy. You can donate online or purchase bags of groceries to donate to Operation Food Search and any Dierberg’s stores.
Tim and April were on location at Dierbergs on Manchester Monday morning. They were there collecting donations for Operation Food Search. This morning Mari de Villa Retirement Center presented a check for $5,000 and Woods Basement Systems donated $2,222.22 to Operation Food Search.
