SWANSEA, IL (KTVI)-- Two people in the same family are behind bars for a burglary and theft ring that stretched across three cities. Now victims want their property back.

O’Fallon police have a mother and son locked up after they were caught with stolen goods and some of it was taken from a retirement home

Fifty one –year-old Elizabeth Jenner and her 27-year old son Joshua Jenner are behind bars.

The duo is accused of stealing from the elderly and others in a burglary crime spree that spread from Shiloh to Swansea and O’Fallon.

Anne Larson with Cedarhurst Assisted Living says she`s disappointed after hearing allegations about Jenner because she was trusted by residents and co-workers.  Police believe Jenner took jewelry from residents right here at the Shiloh facility over a 6 month period. The Jenners are also accused of burglarizing homes across the St. Clair County, some hit in the Crossfield Estates. Some of the stolen goods were tracked to a local pawn shop.

Investigators say more victims are coming forward.  Now this mother and son are sitting behind bars in a St. Clair County Jail. Both are facing three counts of burglary with bonds of more than $200,000 each.  In a case that Larson hopes will deter others from taking advantage of the elderly.

We`re also told that Joshua Jenner was just arraigned in a St. Clair county courtroom. We`ll keep you posted on what happens next.
