Lanes Closures On I-70 Thursday
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – If you`re driving in the downtown area Thursday, get ready to deal with lane closures on I-70.
MoDOT is closing lanes for work related to the new Mississippi River Bridge.
MoDOT says it will close the left lane of I-70 in each direction plus the express lanes in the downtown area to place concrete on a portion of the new Missouri interchange.
That interchange will eventually connect Mississippi River Bridge to I-70 and Cass near the downtown area.
Crews today will be pouring concrete for the driving surface of a new bridge section over 70 that will be part of the major interchange.
All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 3pm this afternoon.
The $700 million Mississippi River Bridge is slated to open in 2014.
