Photo Of NYC Cop’s Random Act Of Kindness Goes Viral

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A random act of kindness by a New York City cop has become a worldwide inspiration.

An Arizona tourist stumbled upon this image near time square.  She was about to approach this homeless man when an officer came up and handed the man a pair of socks and boots.

The tourist sent the police department the picture with a  note saying she worked in law enforcement for 17 years and had never been so impressed in her life. She hoped it served as a reminder for the real reason to enter this line of work.

The facebook post has gone viral since tuesday with more than a million views.
