Drunk Couple Crash Into Tavern

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Police are releasing more details tonight on the couple who drove into a Granite City tavern on Thursday.

The Madison county sheriff’s office says driver Darryl Bennett  and passenger Kira Peppers drove off from the scene.

The car was recovered nearby. Now both Bennett and Peppers are facing underage drinking charges.  In addition, Bennett is also charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
