The Cardinals finally granted Skip Schumaker his request, a trade. The longtime Cardinals outfielder turned 2nd baseman was dealt to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday for minor league shortstop Jake Lemmerman. Schumaker, who's playing time decreased dramatically in 2012 due to the development of 2nd baseman Daniel Descalso will head home to Southern California to continue his baseball career. In return, the Cardinals receive the Dodgers shortstop that played for their AA affiliate in Chattanooga, TN, Jake Lemmerman. Cardinals General Manager said it was hard dealing the popular Schumaker.
