Dog Found With Rope Embedded Into Neck Dies During Surgery

HARTFORD, ILLINOIS (KTVI)– Hartford, Illinois police are investigating a case of animal abuse. 

The dog, named Noel by Hope Rescues, was found with a rope embedded into its neck.  The dog underwent emergency surgery Wednesday but died during surgery.

A reward of $750 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.  The amount of the reward has been growing as word of the case has spread.
